Last summer 2024, we met Gregory "Greg" Cantero at the Mililani Home Improvement show. He seemed nice, honest, and wanted us to save money on renovating our bathrooms. We couldn't afford for the whole bathroom, but we signed a proposal for him for our master bathroom by installing the exhaust fan, demo old bath, haul away, installing a new shower w/walls, water proofing, new fixtures for the new shower, etc. Also my brother hired him as well to upgrade both bathroom exhaust fans and upgrade his master shower (just like ours), etc. Then last week, we found out from another contractor that he introduced to me that he moved to Kauai to start another business. He warned me that Greg may not come back to finish the job. I'm still missing my shower trim kit, fixtures, he was supposed to take off and put on my toilet after the new floors go into my bathroom. Now I have to hire an electrician to install my exhaust fan that he provided to me (I paid $1,500 for the installation) and a plumber to take off/on toilet for the installation of my new floors. He also broke one of my light fixtures which he said he will replace, but the other contractor felt bad for us and replaced it for us.

After learning more about him, now I'm wondering if he did the plumbing correctly, but it's too late because my walls are already up. As for my brother, he's in bad shape because he didn't even replace his pipes, upgrade the shower valve to what he requested, the shower head and valve doesn't align with one another. He also didn't get his new exhaust fans. Now he has to hire another professional to fix his problem and the walls have been installed so he may have to order another wall since it has been cut. All we asked from Greg is to refund us from our down payment that he didn't do for us. Hopefully, he did the plumbing correctly, especially when my master bathroom located upstairs. We never thought this would have happened to us, but it did. I wish these home shows would check their credentials before they sell their products.
