So glad I found this before sending payment. I was literally just going to start the “adoption” process but it just seemed too phishy so I googled his name and eureka, Ca, and boom. Thank you guys for saving me $900

From looking at the information you had. I also had the exact same thing happen. The person was in Eureka, he said needed $2500, and they took cash payments. Unfortunately, I do not think I can get the money back since I used Velle to pay the person but it is what it is I made a mistake for trusting him. During the Corna virus a lot of people are trying to trick people so I should have expected this. I think next time I should verify the shipping company and the location of his business next time. Rip $880 but I learned the ugly side of how the real world is.

I responded to an ad regarding french bull dog puppies on recycler.com (I have attached the ad below). These individuals pretended to be an evangelism team. They stated they were moving and needed to re-home the puppies. I paid $900 for the puppy. They said the puppies would be delivered by a pet courier service. I received an email from the shipping company with a location tracker and all the information for the delivery. The day the puppy was supposed to arrive I received an email stating the puppy was held for not having a temperature regulating grate and virus vaccine. They requested $2500 more for the delivery, and said the money would be refunded to me in cash when the puppy arrived. At that point I knew this was a scam. I reached out to the seller and they stated that this was all legitimate. The shipping company stated "they only took cash payments". There is an 8 hour drive distance between the seller and myself, so clearly they were requesting another apple pay/Zelle payment. I reached out to the sellers to confront them about the scam. They claim it was all legitimate and promised the delivery. I requested my money back. A women answered the phone and said she just received the phone that day and had no idea what was going on. They blocked my phone number and have not responded to any calls or emails since. I have listed and included all the emails/phone numbers I was in contact with for the puppy scam:
