Sarah Hansen was the hr person who I communicated with, but she had no phone number listed and said that we are to communicate through the Telegram app. She contacted me by text Monday morning asking me to send her my resume, and without an interview, I was offered the position of data entry clerk Tuesday morning. I didn't provide any private information about myself, other than my name and my bank name. I was sent an email with a check this morning for $940 for me to buy a software subscription. I got to thinking about how this didn't quite seem right since they were going to send me a laptop. Why wouldn't the software already be on the laptop? Anyway, I did some digging and found out on LinkedIn that it is a scam. Enter Ocumedic Inc. on LinkedIn and look for the name Valerie Mobley who posted about the job scan. Several people commented on it who also were contacted. I couldn't comfirm OcuMedic on the NJ BBB, so I thought I'd let you know asap.
