I wanted to purchase a vehicle advertised on OfferUp, I contacted they referred me to her sister who owned the vehicle. We contacted through email she explained she needed to sell the car she was being sent to Alaska Elmendorf AFB and had the vehicle with her in Nebraska. She stated the sale would be handled by eBay Motors, said that all shipping would be handled by her and I just needed to send my money through a Money Gram to a eBay motors agent located in Oklahoma City, Ok. I did $1500 and waited for a reply on when the vehicle would arrive, She stated the vehicle would arrive in 2-3 days and that we had 10 days to decide if we wanted to complete the sale. After I heard nothing and no vehicle showed up I emailed asking where the vehicle was she replied and then I got an email from [email protected] stating we needed to pay another $1000 for shipping, I knew for sure this was a scam and I fell for it. I replied that we did not have any more money and that we wanted a refund or the Tahoe. I never heard back from them. I filed complaints and I have not heard anything form eBay, OfferUp or Internet Crime Complaint Center. Our local police told me I had to file a complaint with the states that the scammers were in, Omaha said I needed to file in my state, OK never replied. I have all my emails with the woman who claimed to own the vehicle, where I sent the money and the emails from the scammers at [email protected], OfferUp, eBay, Internet Crime Complaint Center, over 50 pages
