"Grab a pen, I'll give you the number to call and inquire more about it. It's now sealed and I can't open it. Number is 888.742.7514 and tell them it's in reference to case# 71473. Also, tell them you have not yet been served. That you've just rec'd information from county dispatcher. They'll be able to assist you further. Just have your government ID ready when they get there between 6 and 7pm tonight."
Then I just said bye, hung up and immediately searched Google for info. Only one report on a random site w/no resolution. A friend, from another state and a public phone, called back and it just continued to ring. She hung up and seconds later received a call back but when picked up caller hung up. I'm assuming they're just grabbing numbers to sell/phish/robocall or something bc other than saying, "This is ****" I didn't give any info. JIC I called local authorities and was told it's a scam. May want to post somewhere. Also is there one place I can go to check on things like this? I thought it was ScamPulse.com but I couldn't find anything on this scam. I doubt I'm the first person to report? No offense at all towards you. Just genuinely curious if this is where I should report matters like this. TY very much for your time and assistance. :)
