An "officer" Mia Adams calls in, claiming to work for the Ohio State Sheriff's Department trying to get a hold of a coworker of mine. The number she gives is 224-400-9434 ext 852, which is an Illinois area code. When we call the number, the person that answers says they are from the bureau of criminal justice, but does not mention the state they are affiliated with, and cannot answer why a number from Illinois is calling someone in ohio, they just repeat "bureau of criminal justice, how can I direct your call", not mentioning the ohio state sheriff's dept at all.
