I got an email from a person claiming to be from HR from Oildex. She said they saw my profile on a website I used to apply to another job, and they were interested in me. I was interviewed using Google Hangout. The next day I got a job offer and started my "training tasks". I completed 3 small accounting spreadsheets. They sent me a check for $3810 on a Saturday. I deposited the check before realizing how ridiculous it was. I have only communicated with them through Gmail and Google Hangout. They did not have emails from Oildex, they had emails from Gmail. Fortunately, I have not given them more personal information than my address, full name, and the name of my bank.
