Type of a scam Moving
After we paid, they told us that they weren't going to move the piano up the stairs. We asked them why, and they said they needed come back the next day with a piece of special equipment. They said it would only take an hour, and that what we paid for already included having them come back to move the piano. It is now the next day, and they have not arrived. We called them, and they told us we should hire someone else to move the piano inside. We told them that we already paid them for moving the piano, and they said we are lying. They are clearly scamming innocent, hardworking people who are just trying to move their home. They are holding peoples' belongings hostage until they pay ridiculous amounts that were never previously discussed. And what's worse is that it looks like they continue to change their business name. We found a page for them on Yelp with the same phone number, but listed as "Box Moving Company." On Craigslist, they advertise as "Chicago Moving Company."
Many other reviews on their now defunct Yelp profile say they are a scam and that they were also cheated out of ridiculous amounts of money for services that were either misrepresented or incomplete.

We paid them through Zelle on Bank of America. We have already filed a claim with Bank of America to dispute the charge, but there's no guarantee that that will result in anything. At this point, we are basically out of $*****, with no piano moved, which was the primary reason for hiring this specific moving company.
