“Oliver green” with “Amazon pro publisher” reached out to my mother after she filled out a form on their website because she was searching on Google for “Amazon publishers” and their website was the first one, she clearly thought they were through Amazon (how they tricked her) and they have all the “accredits” on their website…he texted her and said he wanted to schedule a call to hear more about her book and see how they can work together, they had a call on 7/1 and he didn’t even ask for her to share the book. Claimed they have helped hundreds of authors edit and finish their books and publish them. Promised to do the same for her for $499. Sent a contract to her AND SHE WAS SO EXCITED. I have been a victim of scams and also work in tech and know how easy it is to get scammed. I asked her to send the contact to me and the first red flag was it was filled with various spelling and grammatical errors. I called the number on the contract and it was a weird beeping ring as if it was through WhatsApp or another 3rd party. I called “Oliver green” on the cell number my mom provided me and he was not the “British” man my mom seemed to have spoken to, but clearly an Indian man or similar accent. I told him I was vettinf out businesses to help my mom and that I needed to ask some questions. I asked why he had so many negative reviews on the ScamPulse.com and where his proof was of being a preferred editor and publishing company of Amazon’s since Amazon only works with KDP and he said he could not provide that. I asked him for references and he said he would send some over after confirming with some customers that it was okay and rhen proceeded to text me and say that he could not give out personal information and I said well that’s a red flag because any reputable business would have references. I then asked for samples of work and he sent links to books on Amazon and I was able to confirm with one of the authors that they have never used this business or heard of them before. He also sent me links to “testimonials” on a different website amazonpropublishers.net (can’t keep his scams straight) and they are all clearly AI generated fake people. Same with all the books on the website, one of the books shows the authors name as “Paige Turner” lol. All the while I am telling this “Oliver green” to please stop wasting my moms time and to leave her alone and he has been harassing her telling her I am lying and that he will deliver everything he has promised 1000%. Thankfully no money was ever sent, but this person and/or people running these fake businesses need to pay for what they continue to do to others. They get caught and then just open up another business and buy a similarly named url so they can continue scamming people. My mom was also contacted during this all happening by a “Tracy Williams” of “publishing mojo” which we think was “Oliver green” under another fake name and number because she has not filled out any forms or given her information out to any other companies. Publishingmojo.com looks identical to the websites from Amazon pro publishers.
