There was an out-of-the-blue text message received stating that I was going to receive a cease and desist letter for a logo that was never used, paid for, and then was called by this person threatening me with fines of $75,000 and a need to go through their company to close out a 48 month license for a logo that had been purchased. When asked for the registration number to file properly with the patents office, the scammer became more threatening and irate that I would have to pay an attorney, or pay them for the paperwork to be closed out. When they sent information over, it was missing vital information such as true receipt information or any copyright information that was pertinent.
