This is a repeat of a scam run last August by TriStar Marketing. The con-game is to use fraudulent claims of an "expired travel account" to coerce and extort additional travel contracts for timeshare sales. On 05/06/2016 at 11:41AM I was contacted by "Anthony Price" who claimed to be an account representative, “not a sales person" representing "Omega Travel”, a “fulfillment company”. (The phone CID showed "UNKNOWN CALLER") He claimed (as before) that he was not selling anything, but would assist me in clearing up an "expired travel account" that I had "contracted" several years back. He "offered to help" by issuing another contract for (amount not disclosed). I explained to him that this matter had been previously resolved, (yes, I had fallen for this previously -- a matter for a separate complaint). He countered that this was a DIFFERENT obligation. In fact, he claimed, the record showed several open accounts. When I asked for specifics he refused and said only the account holder could give me that. He did provide a call-back number: 954-876-4050

He later stated that the accounts were with Island Vacation, Global Fulfillment and Consume Services of America but refused to provide contact information, dates or any other pertinent proof that could be verified. I asked that he sent me a summary of what he was using as a reference along with a written proposal of remedy. He again refused and threatened that if I did not immediately comply (now, on the phone) he would notify the claimants of my “refusal” and they would contact me.

Since this had a familiar ring, I researched my own records and found that not only was the claim of a previous purchase a complete lie, but also it was identical to a scam run back in August 7, 2015 and similar to a claim I had fallen for on June 12, 2015.

DESIRED RESOLUTION:

This technique of lying about prior purchase history is blatant fraud and claiming that a more dire consequence will befall a non-compliant prospect is extortion, crossing into criminal activity. THIS PRACTICE MUST STOP!!

The only correct resolution is for Omega Travel to cease and desist in this practice.

Further, I desire that my information be removed from their call list immediately.
