I went to my bank on March 2, 2021 and cashed the check to get the money for the American Express gift cards. I followed the directions on the letter and on March 3, 2021 went to Noblesville Walmart to buy 2 $500 American Express gift cards and $45 of personal items and 2 $500 American Express gift cards at Noblesville CVS. The next day, I sent the detailed shopping experience to [email protected]. I checked my bank online on March 4th and they said they were holding the check and took out $2390 from my checking account!!. I called and they said the hold would go off in 48 hours, that something might be wrong with the check. I then went on American Express' website to check card balances and ALL 4 cards had a balance of $0, saying all four $500 gift cards were redeemed in New York City, NY. I called my bank again on 3/6 to see if I could do anything to get the $ back, rep gave me ScamPulse.com phone number to report the scam. On 3/6, I received an overnight FedEx envelope from Dillon Patton and check to do another mystery shop for more American Express gift cards. I sent an email to [email protected] for Immediate Attention and to send me a cashier's check within 48 hours or I will prosecute for taking $2000 of my money. Dillon Patton sent to me in USPS envelope.
I am an educated person with an MBA and cannot believe I got hooked into this and $2000 was stolen from me. I really hope you can catch this con-artist. I just can't imagine how many thousands, on up of dollars he received from innocent people like me. ***American Express' name and gift cards are being scammed and they should be made aware of this scam going on as well!***
I have all the other documentation for this scam, but I'm only able to upload 1 document! I am happy to talk with someone and provide all the correspondence to this situation/scam!!
