I tried to pay via paypal as the webpage states thats viable, but I wasn't able to use it because they lied telling me that it wasn't viable because of some paypal promotion they were having. They told me that only CashApp and Zelle was available.
I paid via cashapp. Once the payment went thru, I got an email from a shipper called Nexus Global Transport (https://nexusglobaltransport.com/) telling me they received the package. After that, I got another email from Nexus Global Transport telling me that Customs w[censored]ding my package because I need to pay $250 in insurance. I check the tracking on the webpage and it says it was shipped out of Sebring FL. I thought they were located in San Diego, CA but somehow they have an operation in Florida as well it seems. They explained that the shipper paid VAT fees of $495 and I needed to pay $250 in insurance. Now how does that make sense to pay VAT taxes in the first place when the shipping is within the United States and not international. Also how is a $124 package worth $495 in VAT Fees with a $250 insurance? It does not make sense nor in any way. So I don't have my package and I am out of money because of their scam. Also noting that the shipping company and the shop have the same number (318) 215-7419. The webpage says the store is in 8085 Caminito De Pizza, San Diego, CA 92108, but I think its a lie.
They are trying to extort more money after the initial purchase but then I am not even getting my initial purchase.
I believe the https://onestopreptileshop.com/ and https://nexusglobaltransport.com/ is of the same entity, also they have corresponding same phone numbers as contact.
