She contacted me and we've been texting for awhile now. She came on rather strong in the romance department, I didn't really notice it at first. The way way her grammar and spelling fluctuated really disturbed me. Then the soulmate stuff started. Now she is in "Kenya" and has lost her "Master Credit card". She kept tripping my alarm bells until I finally did some research on the internet. Every single trigger she tripped was listed as almost textbook examples of romantic phone/text scams.

So long story. I was on a dating app called Clover. I had a woman of the age of 19 contact me and start to chat. We eventually went to text by phone. She ask for a picture of myself. I sent a picture of my face. Next thing I know, she send me some inappropriate photos and ask me to send my own. I did not send any. The conversation eventually stopped.

Then the next day, I am getting a call from a “special agent Al Jarvis” who is stating that they have a report with my name and number filed against me for having an inappropriate conversation with a minor! He states that the parents have filed it and want to lock me up. I explain my side and how I didn’t know she was a minor and didn’t even send her any inappropriate pictures like she requested. He then states that we maybe able to convince the father to drop the charges. They play phone tag with me, eventually the father states he will drop the charges, if I help pay for a laptop that the daughter broke........

The officer then tells me that I don’t have to pay anything, but I should to be able to avoid all of this....he suggested I use a green dot card. Explain I can’t pay a lot due to my finances. Made a payment by paypal. After it was done, I haven’t heard back from them at all.

With now looking and research, I found that I have been scammed.........

It’s just scary when they through around the threats of doing something that I wasn’t doing, having a warrant filed against me, having jail time, and ruining my life, I was panicking and having a freak out. It didn’t help, this was a Sunday and no one was available to help.

i know someone that is being scammed and is in a relationship only over tje internet they have nevrr met and when they are supposed he dont show up or set hers up he took her kids away from the ppl that love them over this person

Vic. contacting a dating website via his cellular telephone and established a relationship with a unknown female. Female requested Vic.'s bank account number which Vic. provided. Female initiated wire transfer for $4890.99 to Vic.'s bank account. Vic. transferred $2500.00 of his own money to Female's provided bank account. Initial wire transfer of $4890.99 discovered to be fraudulent.
