Searched web today (2/11/2024) for Global Entry Program. First listing in search was for https://ge-assist.com. Site seemed legit so entered passport #, driver's license #, date & place of birth & entered credit card info to pay $149.95 plus $100 for 5-year validation fee. Very confusing websites for both scammer & US Government as US Gov't site didn't have "https." After realizing my awful mistake, I emailed ge-assist through their website to cancel order for Global Entry Program that I applied for today. Received email reply later today from [email protected] saying it was too late to cancel. Charge had not yet appeared on my credit card so I cancelled the card.
