I was late in signing up my son for summer soccer at a previous league I had used before so I searched for another league in the area which brought me to Alliston Youth United. The website has not been updated since 2022, but when I logged into the Registration Portal which is the same as the previous league I had used, it showed that the Alliston Youth League was open for registration. I signed my son up for the summer program which was $289 to commence June 8. I received my email receipt which indicated an email would be sent out closer to the start date for uniform pickup. Being a week away I got worried so I attempted to call, email, and text the Coach/Owner whose name is DJ, contact number 647-248-2343, and email [email protected]. I never received any email or callback but instead got one text saying "hello" which then I proceeded to respond that I was looking for location, time, a callback, and any info on the upcoming date. I never got a text back. I started doing research on the League and found a Facebook page with reviews that they also had the same problems where they never got any callbacks or info and had lost their money as he was a fraud. My next step was to call the Town of New Tecumseth to see if they knew anything about it. The town did investigate by contacting the park; she then told me that they do know of this individual and have gotten a lot of complaints about him doing the exact same thing! He has not scheduled any park time for this year and is a private for-profit organization which means he purposely opened up registration to take money away from hard-working families. It also saddens me that not only my child but other children now are unable to play soccer for the entire summer! I want this man shut down and be accountable for his **** fraudulent behavior as he is taking time and money away from all of us poor families! He should not be able to continue his unprofessional "business" as he may want to call it as stealing money is not a business! I would hope there is some way that this man can be stopped!
