Almost immediately after the transaction for the $500 went through, I got an email from Wm Ford saying I needed to send the rest of the money, which would’ve been another $950. I then voiced my concern that I was getting scammed because that wasn’t what we had agreed on. Needless to say, we went back & forth emailing for a couple of days, him asking for more money upfront & me refusing. Then I suggested maybe my husband and I would drive the 12-13 hours from Illinois to Dothan, Alabama, to pick up the puppy in person. He wouldn’t give me the kennel address and told me to meet him at 1500 Virwood Dr. in Dothan, Alabama. I asked that before we drove that far could he FaceTime or Videochat so that I could see the puppy, just to be sure it actually existed? Mr. Ford adamantly refused. He called me and tried to convince me that I was being irrational and that I’d need to trust him. Then he tried to get me to send more money after I wasn’t sure we’d travel that far with no proof the puppy is real. He then sent me more pictures & a recorded video, which he could’ve taken from another breeder’s website or Facebook page. In fact, I DID find a picture on the Greenwood Doodles website that was also on another breeder’s page. Mr. Ford was hard to understand because he spoke in a very heavy middle-Eastern accent and his English was not great. But we finally went back to the original agreement and he’d go ahead and send the puppy to me & I could give the remaining $950 to the fight nanny. He said he’d send the flight information to me the next day, I didn’t hear anything from him, so I texted him that next evening. He then told me he’d at least need the $150 for the flight nanny services upfront. I thought, here we go again! I knew if I sent that $150, he’d have another request for MORE money sent upfront. So I refused to send any more money and that’s the last I heard.

Everything was going well so far until I zelled him $750 for the puppy plus delivery to Boston, MA. My bank blocked it because they said it was suspicious. I called the seller at the provided phone number in the contract, +1502-236-4010 but it did not ring. It was a strange number with an automatic message saying that "thank you for calling our customer service. Please let us know if you want to remove your name from our calling list, press 1, etc...". What a strange number!
I emailed the seller saying that I want to talk to him on the phone, what would be a number to call? He called me using a different phone number (916-902-3014) and he questioned me saying he doesn't like that I am hesitant and thinking of him as a potential scammer! (and how his family has been around for a long time doing dog breeding services like this and he doesn't appreciate being doubted!)
I searched around on the internet and come across your post that has the same phone number and home address of this seller! (just with a different website).
I canceled my payment via my bank ASAP and now writing this comment... SO sad it was all a scam...

It didn't work, so I asked if I could send it through Google Pay since that was one of the options listed. "she" said, "My Google Pay has issues." So I then asked since she w[censored]ding the dog for a few weeks if I could send a check. It would have plenty of time to clear before getting the dog, but she refused, claiming having had a bad experience with a check (all of this is in the emails sent to me). She then tells me to go to CVS (I work for CVS) and put the $800 on Vanilla Visa cards. I didn't want to just send $800 to them, untraceable. Her reply was that they would have a delivery service pick her up at the airport, bring her to my house and collect the cards. I thought that would be safe so I agreed. After purchasing the cards, I was told to take pictures of them and send them to them, OUT OF THE PACKAGES. I took them out and sent pics of the front of both ($300+$500). She then told me to take a picture of the BACK of each card. Red flags went up and I called the AARP Fraud hotline and was told immediately it was a scam. I texted "Stephanie" who tried everything to get me to send the CVV numbers. I backed out of the deal.
