Type of a scam Online Purchase
The vendor (John) provided him with the container info Daniel wanted & stated that payment has to be made in advance prior to delivery.
payment was made, but container wasn't delivered. Daniel attempted to get confirmation & realized that he was scammed.
I also attempted to contact the person by phone, (1-866-210-0026) which he actually answered & told me that the container is pending to be shipped. He asked for my email address & told me that he will email me the container status right away. This was on January 27th. I could tell from his tone that, it wasn't a legitmate business.
As I mentioned before, our Accounting Team contacted our bank & was able to get reimbursement in full for the money lost. However, I do believe that the company will need to be reported so that he doesn't defraud another business or person.
