A few months ago, I came across a promotion on Facebook from a local business in BC, Canada. She was retiring and selling her handmade jewelry at a reduced price. I placed an order for two earrings through their legitimate-looking website, and the payment went through the company smoothly. However, I became concerned when I realized that the products were being shipped from China, not Canada. I contacted the company, and they explained that while their headquarters were in Canada, their production took place in China. I received the products without any problem, but they didn't suit me, so I decided to return them for a refund as per their return policy stated on their website. At first, the company refused to issue a refund, but when I referenced their return policy, they agreed to it. However, after returning the products over 4 weeks ago, I still haven't received a refund. The company's website is now inactive, leading me to believe that it may have been a scam. When I initially researched the company online, I found no evidence of any scams, but now, when I search, there are several results from people who have also been scammed by the company.
