I went online to apply for a passport for my daughter. During the process, I was prompted to pay, which I believed was the passport application fee. I did not realize until I printed out the paper, that the fee is only payable via check and in person. That's when I knew I had been scammed. Despite telling me multiple times that it was a known scam, my credit card company will not help me, and I am trying to figure out how to get my money back.
