Received targeted text messages regarding a recently posted used vehicle for sale (either from AutoTrader or Kijiji Auto). Scammer demands for a vehicle history report but denies Carfax (trusted source) and directs you to recordvehicle.com to pay for one that they will "repay" later. After some conversation, they got pushy saying it only takes a few seconds. I mentioned having it completed while on site to look at the vehicle and they keep insisting I get this report.

After some research, it seems there are a TON of these out there, so I'd imagine its a never-ending battle.

Just wanted to highlight recordvehicle.com scams to potentially help someone who may fall victim.
