I went online company called boats for sale www.boatsforsale.com with a PO box in Wrightsville Beach, NC and made in inquiry regarding a boat I wanted to purchase from a private seller. I received a response from the seller through the website portal sharing details about the boat with a link to more pictures and specifications etc. It provided the option to schedule an appointment to see the boat for inspection or we could set up to have the boat shipped to a location of my choosing and a 3rd party AutoHaus would handle the transaction. I would have 7 days to have inspections completed. It provided a website to set up buyers registration to start the process. The short is the boat was scheduled to be delivered and the day before deliver they notified me the truck delivering the boat was involved in an accident and the boat could not be delivered and the insurance company was dealing with the and the process would take some time but to be patient or I could get a refund. They sent another email asking for my bank account routing and account number. which I did not provide. I called many times and emailed with no response from any of the contatc I have. I called the number and the answering machines still work but no one answers. The money I wired to a Chase Manhattan Bank In New York.
