Online Retailer Scam - Social Media Ads Reports & Reviews (6)

I clicked on an add while I was on social media that appeared to be comfrt.com which is a real clothing brand. After clicking on the add and making a purchase I received an “order confirmation” and “tracking” via email from: [email protected]. They also provided a link to view the shipment status which lead me to: https://www.track678.com, which is another fake site scammers use to provide fake tracking status and details. When I clicked on the “order status” in my email, it lead me to: www.renitude.com, which was different from the site I initially placed the order with. At this point I realized I was scammed and I was not going to receive any of the items I thought I purchased. After I filed a claim with my bank, I looked into this further and found that the scammer used a URL masking technique to hide the actual URL of the website behind a different URL, all the while making it appear legitimate by using logos, images, etc.,

They basically copy & paste any website to the fake URL, which tricks people into thinking it’s real and legitimate.

Please be aware of these scammers!

I will post the fake website, emails etc., below:

Scam website: https://renitude.com/

Scammer Emails: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

Charge from: Fashioncistaxstore (name that appeared on my bank account)

I saw ads for inflatable holiday ornaments on social media. I purchased some items and never received anything. The receipt listed a company called Risetor. After a few weeks, I emailed the company on the receipt, and the email bounced back as undeliverable. The website listed on the transaction also doesn't work. I am disputing the charge with Amex, but it looks like this is a scam since the email and website are fake.

Never sent product - which was a xmass gift for my child- then used my credit card to make several large purchases at shoes stores. They also texted me stating that there was an error with my mailing address and they would be a re delivery fee.

They had adds on tick toc and Instagram for child safe cooking wear.

An advertised foldable bicycle was offered for US$80 on Youtube. I thought it was way too inexpensive and so I fell for the purchase. See the original Instagram offer and all the research I've done to discover this is a scam. Please do not fall for it. And hope authorities catch these ******* ****

- Minneapolis, MN, USA

I saw an advertisement on social media for mascara. I placed an order for 2 only using my credit card. I noticed they charged me for 3 additional one that weren't authorized by me.

+2

Same thing happened to me 😔😔😔 I lost 20$
