Charles Levesque:-| Sr. Travel Consultant, Flightsassist

He claimed to represent Air Canada and would be able to cancel our flights. We knew there would be a cancellation fee under the terms of our flight insurance, so it was no surprise when he collected it on behalf of AC. When we rebooked our flight with AC, they told us we had to pay the fee; I argued that we had already paid it, and when they did some more searching, they then told me that we had been scammed, and that Flightsassist was a fraudulent company, and should not be purporting to be working for Air Canada. I contacted the rep several times, got a non-sensical response, and have not gotten the stolen $440 back. After reviewing various websites online, it appears that this company pretends to represent lots of travel companies in order to scam people out of fees.

Thought the lodging site re-directed me to this site to reserve rooms. Learned I was mistaken. Booked 4 rooms for May 3 2024 on March 7 2024. Called the actual motel to change a name on a room. They had no record of my reservation. Called reservationcounter.com to tell them. They had record of my reservation and said they would "go to their higher ups" to resolve and call me in 15-20 minutes. No call. I called them again after 50 minutes. They then had no record at all of my reservation (I have a receipt from them). Fortunately, they did not charge my card yet and I was able to get ahead of it.

We found a vacation deal online on Expedia and when we called in to get more details on the offer we got these people on the phone. The agent sent me an email with what they were offering (all-inclusive hotel and air tickets for 6ppl) and asked me to reply and accept the package. a few days later I received an email with a confirmation for booked tickets with a different airline which was not on the agreement. Since then, I have been calling them almost every day and emailing them, asking them to change the flights to what we agreed to and they were refusing to help us. After over a month of going back and forth, they agreed to cancel and refund the money but when I asked them to send me an email with confirmation that they will refund the full amount they refuse to do that. In addition, two of the tickets which were purchased for 2 seniors were insured. We paid extra to insure them and the insurance was to cover the cancellation as well. We are not able to get any proper response from the agency they said the refund will be posted to your account within 3 statement cycles which is not normal and they refuse to confirm it via email.

I was hired as a sales agent. They informed me that this is USA Travel Agency. But they are getting calls from Google campaign and they are using airline impression and doing fraud with customer. If customer denied to pay they cancel their ticket. And they have customer credit card details and save their details and use on different different fields.

I was looking for tickets to go to orlando, fl. Fareowl.com came up. Looked like a legit sight to look up flights. I found the flights and gave names and date of birth of all passengers and my credit card information. I even receivedconfirmation on the website and took a picture of it while I wait for an email. The email never came so this morning I called and the number just puts you on hold. The sites chat had someone call me 301-876-4986 number and that person said i requested a call for book my travel which i did not.

I bought 3 airline tickets through this company online. The total fare was $2479.00. Then I received an email from Galaxy Travel to check the details of my booking to ensure the information are correct. I noticed that the pricing changed to $3544.45 as there was a 'split charge' of $861. This was never disclosed on the website. I emailed back Daniel Smith, the travel advisor at Galaxy Travel about the change in the charge. He told me that "The fare which you are looking to book is no longer available as we have sent you the live discounted deal fare." I checked online the airfare again to verify what he said, but the pricing was the same for 3 people - $2479, meaning it was still available. I felt this online company was deceitful and misleading its customers. They were not honest with the transaction. If I didn't pay attention, I would have not noticed the amount of change they did because it was not disclosed in their email to me at all. It was only when I questioned it that Daniel Smith provided me with the reason why it increased. They should also disclose and indicate on the website that the airfare published online is a 'live discounted deal' and could change once the customer purchased the airfare. They misled me into believing $2479 was the purchase price of the tickets, then suddenly Daniel Smith said it was a 'live discounted price.' For sure they had customers who did not pay attention to the price change and unknowingly agreed to pay a much higher price. Consumers should be protected. Please see attached email exchanges and screenshot of the order confirmation.
