I booked a flight on their website and a low rate, then they called back saying that I can't cancel or get a refund and that my ticket price is now $400 more expensive.

I booked a flight online after comparing prices and being informed that Fareporto is a booking agency for Southwest airlines, I felt comfortable choosing Fareporto booking agency. On 1/29/25, I was contacted by message and return the call & spoke with a rep. The rep spoke with me and my fiancé on a three way to ensure no misunderstanding. We were told that the flight was nonrefundable, and we needed to confirm our date which was 2/22/25. We both agreed to this date and purchased the ticket for this date and time. The following day I received a call from a rep who stated his name: Weyne informing me that Southwest Airlines had rejected my ticket due to no available seats, and my flight had been changed to 2/28/2025. I had also received an email from Fareporto booking. He informed me for $30 more Southwest airlines has agreed to make me a seat available. Me being on a fixed disability income requested my money back due to not being able to afford the new price and having a medical procedure was inconvenient date. I was told I would not be able to cancel, and I had been given a new date and that was final. I cried and called the official Southwest Airlines Office. I found out 50 plus seats were available and this company does not do any bookings for Southwest Airlines. In fact, the Southwest Rep. never heard of Fareporto booking and could not locate this co. The rep attempted to locate my reservation confirmation # and it wasn't in their system. I lost my funds and to my understanding I will never receive my funds back. A Southwest Airline rep. informed me to always check the co. logo and when I did it states Southwest airlines, but the logo is totally different pattern coloring. The email address is not from an actual internet site and these people can barely speak English. My Booking Reference Number is PFNJRN from Fareporto is not a litigable confirmation number. Folks, please pay attention because I have been robbed, and they have my card number. I am at a loss Fareporto robbed the disabled/low income. Always go the official cite.

I bought airline tickets round trip with one stop from Seattle to Dallas then from Dallas to McAllen mission. I paid $401.73 for the tickets round trip. They called me today and said in order to get a seat on the plane I was gonna have to pay another $500. They said the $401.73 was non refundable and I wouldn’t receive my airline ticket if I didn’t pay another 500. I understand there is always hidden costs with airlines but this wasn’t it and was definitely a scam. I am living pay check to paycheck and am hoping this will save some people some money and frustration during the holiday seasons.

I went to Cheapflight.com to find an inexpensive flight and that website suggested 4 websites I could compare pricing across. I was familiar with Priceline and Expedia, which were listed among the options and chose two others, tarifsodeal being one of them. I found a flight and I didn't realize that the flight I selected was on the tarifsodeal option. There was nothing listed before payment indicating it was non refundable, had restrictions, or that it was a promotional ticket that was not guaranteed until 6 hours before the flight was supposed to leave. When you book, they say flight confirmation may take up to a few hours in some instances to come. I never got flight confirmation-instead got an email/multiple phone calls about 3 hours after I booked saying they need to verify details about my flight. The phone numbers they called from were 239-205-9162, 239-205-9166, 479-390-4458 (different number every time). I felt this was off immediately after I booked and canceled my Credit card with my bank when I noticed that no funds had been taken out and no confirmation had been sent to me. I finally stopped dodging and talked to person today (Clearly reading from some script b/c she kept putting me on hold to respond to what I was saying). She told me my SOUTHWEST AIRLINES flight was a promo and 1) I can take no carry on or checked bags, nor can I buy at the airport an option to have carry on/checked bags. I played along b/c I knew she was calling me about a flight I never paid for (I had canceled the card used to pay for the ticket 3 days prior). I told her that was fine, I didn't need any luggage. She kept asking me if I was sure I wouldn't need to fly with any luggage. I told her I wouldn't. 2) she then said my "promotional" ticket was not guaranteed because it was a promotional price (nothing on my flight/payment confirmation indicated this was a promotional deal and that I was not guaranteed a seat on that flight I booked). I asked when I would get my ticket info/confirmation, and she said I woudn't get ticket or confirmation until 6 hours before departure. And that if I was at airport, that if there were no seats left on the flight I would be bumped to another flight. When I asked her about not getting ticket /confirmation until 6 hours before, she said I could get a CONFIRMED ticket/flight with United Airlines for an additional $200. I told her that I didn't want to do that; she then said she could find me another flight for less money. I said I wasn't paying anything extra above what I paid. That ended our call

My father booked an airline ticket through this company on their website. The price originally showed $287.43. My dad wasn't charged, but received a confirmation email. He called the company to make sure everything was all set, but then the company told him that they didn't have anymore seats for that flight & tried to then charge him another $700 for another ticket. My dad has since blocked his card so no payments can be taken out, but according to Google reviews, we are not the only ones this company has tried to scam.

November 9/24 I had a terrible experience with Flight Merchant, and I want to warn others to steer clear of this service. They advertise flight prices that seem too good to be true, but once you make a booking, they immediately call you back to say the price has doubled. What's worse is that they claim there are no cancellation or refunds, not even few hours of booking.

This seems to be a widespread issue, as many others have shared similar stories. Please be careful-do not use this company. It's a scam, and you will likely end up paying more than advertised with no way no way to get your money back.

This airline ticket website is a scam they called me and said my ticket was on hold until I upgrade my ticket. This Fareporto company is a scam and they need to be investigated by the government. Thank you

I booked a flight for American Airlines through Tarifasodeal.com. I was originally on Kayak.com which I've used before and somehow ended up in a bait & switch without realizing it. When I went to confirm my flight with American, I had no confirmation number. I saw that the email Tarifasodeal had sent was bogus. No money left my account, but after researching others experiences, they call you just before your flight and tell you it is much more Money and then charge you. Luckily I noticed this early enough to close my debit card and re-book the flight with American Airlines directly.

The company called me saying that I needed to pay an extra $240 plus dollars because the flight reservation I made was "restrictive" due to the special fare. They were saying things against airline policy. The booking ID stated my card had not been charged yet and I told the representative not to charge my card because I would look for another flight. The site did not clearly state that the reservation was "restrictive" nor told me that I could not make any changes later on, such as adding a carry-on bag. I told both the representative and the manager not to charge my account. Manager did not provide the business address as I requested, he told me to get it from the website, and I informed him the website does not list the business address.

I found this site and booked a ticket to Alaska for about $150 cheaper than I could find on a premier site. I received a reference number and email and thought everything was fine. 24 hours before my flight having received nothing else, I called and they had never booked me on the flight. The customer service rep who calls himself “Jeff“ from India lied and told me he tried to email me and phoned me many times in the month. He recited my phone number with one number incorrect yet in my email inbox wasn’t email sent from them with my correct number. He had access to my correct number , there were lies throughout one and a half to two conversation trying to rectify this situation. The least they could do was find me a ticket for $1200 a day before. More conversation they got it down to 900 and something but I could still find a ticket a few dollars less on a reliable site at that time. it was extremely disappointing as this was a business trip and I needed to get to Alaska the next day. Speak to the manager and he was even pretty short with me. I know they are not practicing quality business are scamming people and lying. They should absolutely be shut down. There is zero integrity or customer service.

On 6/11 I booked it a round trip air flight through a 3rd party website for a flight on 10/10-10/12/24.

Well this morning I got spam called by the booking website (in total 16. I also tried to block some of the phone numbers so could have been a higher call volume.)

Emily told me my return flight on 10/12 was going under maintenance and they could not reserve the flight. They had to look for a new flight back. She gave me flights double in price and on different days to upcharge me. I tried to cancel and she reported it would cost 230. I tried to talk to a supervisor and she refused saying he would just cancel it. Either way I was going to be charge 200+ dollars for either my changing the flight or cancelling. Nothing I could do. This went on for about 45 mins of arguing for me to understand the nonsense she was saying. My flight was 99$ total. To cancel the booking was 230$. But to change my return flight was going to cost 150$ or more on top of the original 99$.

I looked up flights while on the phone with her which showed my return flight was still available and she told me it’s becuase the websites were not updated. I even went to the direct airlines website and it was an active flight. I ended up requesting to cancel it, and reported to my credit card. I rebooked through the airline website and flights were all still available!

During the course of the encounter I hung up several times and received nonstop calls back from various numbers in and out of Florida. When I would call back from the booking email phone number, they refused to give to me to anyone else besides Emily.

Based on all this I determined they were most definitely spam. I requested to be cancelled out of everything and called my credit card company to block payment and report it as spam.

Fishing and luring customer to their site on the internet as a travel agent and assisting getting cheaper airfare. Once the flight was selected, there was options to upgrade flight for higher service with more money. You have the option to buy insurance protection. Submit credit card information for payment. Then you get this notification that the booking status in progress with flight booking terms and policies. The flights can be switched and all kind of nonsence.

later on, received call from the scammer informing me that the flight going to my destination has been cancelled and will need to put me on a different airline same cost. Wanted to cancel the reservation all together, but the scammer gave me the running around and at finally convince me to change the flight. He forwarded information for me to review at least 4 times the same information and kept telling me there was a glitch in the system, it did not go through, and I will need to acknowledge the credit card agreement again. These were the multiple payments collected. Fortunately, the credit card company suspected fraud and alerted me. In the meantime, the scammer called late during the night attempting to get my attention. I had placed my phone on silence.

On January 29, 2024, I sought a quote for two airline tickets for my daughter and myself on the Travoport website. Each ticket was priced at $1,344.68, totaling $2,689.36, for flights with American Airlines. Before proceeding with the purchase, I contacted a Travoport agent to inquire about any flight restrictions. The agent informed me that they could not provide details until after the purchase, promising that another agent would follow up the next day and there would not be any changes until booked.

Upon their call the following day, additional restrictions were revealed which were not initially disclosed. Furthermore, they refused to allow me to book the selected flights, citing them as exceptionally priced premium economy seats. Travoport then attempted to upsell me a more expensive ticket on a different airline, departing on a different day. Dissatisfied with these terms, I requested a refund, which Travoport declined despite the purchase not being finalized until a ticket was issued, as stated in their confirmation. They offered to upgrade me for an additional $900, an offer I rejected. Despite this, they confirmed a pricier flight, and over the next two days, repeatedly contacted me with progressively reduced offers, still exceeding the original price by over $300, with inconvenient travel dates, baggage and other restrictions on a different airline.

The merchant employed unethical tactics to secure the flight reservation purchase.

On February 2nd, I contacted Citibank Credit Card to initiate a dispute. Despite presenting compelling evidence of misconduct, Citibank's investigation sided with the merchant, instructing me to settle the disputed amount. They advised resolving the matter directly with the merchant, who falsely claimed to have retracted the charges. Nevertheless, the charges persist on my credit card statement.

Both the merchant and Citibank overlooked undeniable proof of wrongdoing. It appears that many others could similarly be affected by this situation, prompting me to consider pursuing legal action.

Lied to me about my flight and what I wasn’t “allowed” to bring. Tried to get me to pay more money for a regular flight. Wouldn’t allow me to cancel nor get a refund
