Tried to reach Southwest Airlines customer service to cancel flight. Did not have my phone. A kind man offered his, asked Siri to call SW & handed to me. Got connected to "Alex," who said was with Expedia & licensed with Southwest, also Jet Blue. Had access to my SW reservation info, including cost of ticket. Told me we could reschedule if I got gift cards for $329, which incredibly, I did & gave to him. Then called back & said needed another $200 card. Had me talk to his "supervisor, Sean Miller." Light bulb finally went on & I resisted. I questioned why their # was in NJ when Expedia is based in Seattle (I looked it up). Response: offices all over, offered to give me "employee ID#." Got several additional calls that I ignored. Contacted Spoke to check # info: registered to a Chuck somebody with NJ address (sorry, I don't have it with me). Ido have eBay gift card #s. I have alerted Southwest to this, as well.
