I was told you can't take bags on plane, the ticket is restricted, I never received a email confirmation, when I called, they said they were having technical issues.

This is one of the travel companies listed on https://www.cheapflights.com/book-flights-online/. I booked travel with them, but instead of confirmation they sent me a booking reference number, then called me about an hour later to ask if I was "okay with the restrictions" on the ticket. When I asked what the restrictions were, they said that there was a strict no baggage of any kind rule, and that you could not attempt to purchase baggage fare at the airport or the airline would automatically change your airfare to full price at the time of flight. They then attempted to upsell me, which I declined. After I hung up, I researched the company and found that this company is a scam. I notified my credit card company immediately. Travoport tried to contact me again later that day to soothe me and again upsell me; I let them know that I was aware that it was a scam and that I'd alerted my credit card company. They hung up on me.

We found some very cheap plane tickets through the search website "Cheap-o-Air" that brought us to Fareporto. Long story short, they use Bait and Switch tactics to get you to buy plane tickets in a way that makes you believe you are hetting a different package than what you are actually getting. We paid for enhanced baggage protection in the initial order. Then i got a phone call that said baggage was not included in the purchase and i would have to pay an additional $60 per person just for the "ability" to pay for baggage. Then i would need to pay extra to actually still use baggage. They wouldnt let me cancel the tickets even though it was only 3 hours since i ordered them. I froze my card and now im afraid they are going to try to send my case to collections. DONT EVER USE THIS WEBSITE. THEY ARE A SCAM.

I booked an airline ticket on the CheapFlights website through a company called foggyfly. This company is a SCAM.

Within 5 minutes I received a call with a message requesting me to call number 1-239-205-9201 ext. 413 about flight restrictions as soon as possible. I also received an email showing my correct flight itinerary with a 4 digit booking id asking me to call number 1-844-717-2357 ext. 413 to ensure the timely completion of my reservation. When I called this number I was informed that in addition to the listed information at the bottom of the booking page concerning restrictions I had purchased the cheapest flight possible and would not be allowed a carry on (contrary to the airlines policy). I was also informed that my flight would not be confirmed until 3-4 hours before flight time. I immediately requested a cancellation. I was told I would not receive a cancellation as I myself had purchased this ticket. I told them it had not gone through to cancel it. They would not. They wanted to give me alternatives for extra charges. I have had to go through my bank to stop purchase.

Be aware and careful using CheapFlights subcontractors for flights. FOGGYFLY is a SCAM !

Yesterday April 21 2024, I was redirected to the Travoport.com website by another flight pricing 3rd party website. There they were advertising a round-trip flight for a total of $552.77 so I proceed to make the purchase. The following day I receive a text message from Jay Nichols from number 1-904-578-6927 on behalf of the travel agency asking me to call them at 1-877-289-0215 regarding my booking. When I called Mr. Jay, he proceeded to run a list of rules and regulations including that the ticket is not cancelable nor refundable. He proceeded to say the reason why I got such a great deal is because the ticket does not allow people traveling with carry-ons and no baggage would be allowed to check in. He said I purchased a ticket that supposedly only allows travelers who travel only with their personal wallets or purses. Nothing else is allowed. AND ... that the only way I could proceed with the booking of the transaction is for me to upgrade my ticket by paying them an additional $586.00 so I can at least be able to fly with a carry-on or check-in a baggage. Nowhere in the website nor while doing the transaction anything like this is mentioned. The one and only email I received from this company said that the above itinerary and reference number is for information only. They debited my $552.77 from my bank account, provided no real booking reservation and on top sent an email asking me to approve the second transaction for a policy that is not even a real airline policy. The person did nothing to honor my neglect to proceed with the transaction other than to push me to authorize the payment for the second half of the ticket so I can even get an official booking. I need help getting my money back from this fraudulent scheme meant to defraud people with false advertisement, investigating this company, and saving more people from falling under this kind of fraudulent scheme.

We bought tickets off this website a few weeks ago. We found it because it popped up on Kayak, which we have used before. As I was booking the tickets, my husband checked them out but he only went to the first review site that popped up which has now turned out to be fake as well. After purchasing 6 tickets to Spain for our family to visit my husband's family this summer, we got a phone call from the site saying that our tickets did not include even a personal item. I have flown quite a bit and I couldn't imagine not having a personal item. I argued with the guy a little but he assured me he could get me checked luggage as well, if I paid an extra 750 per ticket. This raised the price per ticket to well over what I would have paid on other sites. I said this was deceptive and wanted to cancel and was told there was a no cancellation policy. I knew that there is a policy with airline tickets that you can cancel within 24 hours of booking, but hadn't realized it is only if you book with the airline. So I got panicky and called the visa to see if I could stop the charge. It was already pending so they told me they couldn't do anything to dispute it till it went through, but I said I knew it was fraudulent so if it went through, I would never get my money back because the company is a scam. They insisted they couldn't do anything for me (which seems absurd, but I understand) so I cancelled the card and held my breath. I emailed the company to say again that I they sold me something deceptive and I wanted to cancel, then I called and talked to a supervisor and recorded the message. He told me the tickets were legit and tried to convince me I was wrong. I hung up and we decided to wait. They called and emailed me but I didn't answer. Fortunately, the pending transaction stayed pending, so after a week I emailed them again and told them the credit card was cancelled and that it would never go through. I also had talked to my brother and his wife, both attorneys, and I told the company that we knew our rights as consumers and that we had followed up with these two attorneys and if they didn't cancel the charge, we would continue to investigate. I asked for a direct line for my brother to call. They responded with one line that didn't make any sense, but the next day the pending charge had dropped. This was two weeks ago.

Yesterday, Fareporto called me four times. They left a message once, the other times I didn't take the call and they didn't leave a message. I am nervous because they have some of our personal information, but I don't think they can get our money. There are many complaints about them online. They are a complete scam, the credit card charge said United but the info was fake (usually on a charge, you can click on it and get a phone number and more information. For this one, it said United but there was no phone number and there was a zip code but it was random and didn't correspond to any United headquarters). They should be shut down, as we continue to see people online saying the fell for their schemes.

Basically, I reserved an Airline ticket for X amount of dollars online. About 30 minutes later I get a phone call from a customer service representative saying that the ticket I purchased is a "restricted" "promotional discount" ticket that cannot be refunded, cannot be rescheduled, and here's the weird part, I can't even bring any carry-ons or personal items. He then offered me two options. Keep the current ticket and accept the limitations, OR pay an "upgrade fee" to upgrade to a regular airline ticket without any restrictions. After some deliberation, I said I'll just stick with the restricted ticket.

About another hour later I get another call saying my ticket could not be reserved and now I have to pay an extra $150 to upgrade to a regular airline ticket? At this point I just straight up refused to pay for anything at all because that fare is not at all what I agreed to. Costumer service rep. says even if I cancel the ticket I'll still be charged the original fare since it's "non-refundable" through the airline.

They say say no reservation exists in my name for the flight number the third party is claiming. I call back Travoport, they say that no record will exist because my ticket is still "processing".

I bought a plane ticket from this website not knowing they were a scam and they then called me to say they wanted to charge me another 400 dollars to take a carry on onto the plane.

- Mountain Home, AR, USA • Mar 27, 2024

They called after I agreed to buy an airline ticket via my credit card and added new restrictions that were not on the original purchase agreement. They tried to charge me $289 each way to ‘add baggage’. They refused to issue a refund on my credit card even though the website states that the purchase is NOT complete until a ticket is issued. AND my credit card had not been charged because the airline ticket wasn’t even purchased/issued. So, they were total high pressure rude people trying to tell you were out of your money and couldn’t take any baggage. Scare you into thinking you were already out of your money, and had no choice but to hand over more money to them.

I was looking for a cheap flight and saw that Travoport offered a fare for 358.90 for the dates I chose for my travel. They called me back 20 hours later to confirm the details. I was told that the price did not include the option the bring luggage in this 7 day trip! I could not even purchase it at the airport. Then they said they could give me more options to have the luggage option and increased the price to $1100 to have a “regular” airline seat. I tried to cancel the reservation and they round not allow me to do this. The credit card was not charged yet and things were not confirmed. I talked to a supervisor and they could not work with my dates with the original price increase. I finally was able to find a flight with them for 779.63 Iver $400 more than I originally made reservations for! What’s worse is that I couldn’t get out of reservation. This is the ultimate bait and switch. I didn’t want anyone else to fall for this!
