I thought I was buying airline tickets. It says Cheapflights on the top of the website, but if you look carefully it says Tarifasodeal lower on the page. After I entered credit card info, I saw it said you could call to see if an upgrade was available. I called and they said I couldn't bring any carry-on luggage or purchase checked luggage, only a personal item. I knew this was ridiculous and I asked for a supervisor. Both people were not American and were hard to understand. Then they tried to see if I could purchase a more expensive flight so that the luggage could be accomodated. I knew it was a scam. I called American Airlines and they confirmed that you can always purchase for checked luggage & you always get a carry-on. They didn't see my reservation in their system. I called my credit card company & the charge hadn't gone through yet, so they canceled my card immediately.

I booked flights for my wife and me from NY to Kansas City at https://www.foggyfly.com/. They called me right after, saying the tickets I booked were "special" and that I couldn't take any personal stuff like a bag. I said that was OK. Then they said my wife's ticket had no seat, and she couldn't fly back to NY on the date I booked. I said that in that case, I would like to cancel my booking. They said my booking was not refundable. (later, I know, I should stop talking to them by then, and call my credit card company right away.) So I was stupid enough to let them scam me and bring the price up for the tickets To make a long story short, later, my credit card company let the transaction from American Airlines go through but found something wrong and blocked the transaction from Foggyfly. Finally, I found out what happened. Foggyfly uses low prices to lure customers to book the ticket (as everyone mentioned here), and then calls customers, threatening them with all different reasons to forget the tickets they previously booked online, at the same time, Foggyfly will find another ticket online plus their overcharge price (hundreds of dollars). I refused to pay Foggyfly's scam, I changed my credit card, and I hope they don't go after me. However, if they do, I will go to court with them. I hope there is an authority there that can go after these people. We consumers need to unite to fight this scam business.

On September 10, 2024 after booking my flight with FOGGYFLY for $227.40 several moments later I received an email confirmation for my flight which was normal. About 15-20 minutes later I received an email stating they were trying to reach me concerning my flight information and for me to call 1-888-539-5571 and for James Ext411. I contacted the agency immediately asking was everything ok? The operator transferred me to "JAMES" with a far east Indian accent, stating the ticket I purchased was a flight that did not include baggage. I went into a verbal sparring contest with "JAMES" stating there was no verbiage in the ticket purchased explaining the details on that, and then "JAMES" insisted he could fix the problem by upgrading me to a upper Economy status, I replied with a loud "WHAT?!? What exactly are you saying? James then stated he could book me a flight with luggage travel for an additional $198.00. Of course I went into a red alert status, and replied "ARE YOU A SCAMMER?!?" YOU ARE A SCAMMER AREN'T YOU?!?!. James then rattled on in his far east Indian accent "Uh no-no-no-no, you purchased this ticket, I then cut him off and demanded my money back, James responded "Sorry you cannot get a refund". I hung up the phone and contacted Southwest in which I was supposedly booked with through FOGGYFLY and the SouthWest representative stated she did not see any of my information booked. I then called my bank to see if funds were depleted yet and thank goodness not so my bank canceled my Debit Card to prevent possible access to my account.

We were trying to buy airline tickets via Air Gorilla, but my husband accidentally clicked on Flight Gorilla. They used a third party to book tickets called TravoPort. The tickets we purchased said it was Economy class (we have a printed copy of this). We googled to make sure Hawaiian Air Economy class included a free carry on bag and a seat assignment. We would NEVER book flights with no seat assignment because my husband is disabled and I have severe claustrophobia. We booked the Economy fair and a notice said we would get an email confirmation within 24 hours. This was on a Friday night. Monday morning we called TravoPort to see why we had no email confirmation. A man with an Indian accent answered and told my husband our tickets had no seat assignment, nor did it have ANY luggage. My husband said, "So you are telling me I'm going on vacation and I can't take any clothes?" The man said that was correct...no carry on and no way we could pay to have a checked bag, and we had been sold a Basic (not Economy) ticket. We asked to cancel, but he said it had been more than 24 hours so that was impossible. My husband asked to speak to his supervisor (another Indian accent). Two hours later he was railroaded into paying another $318 in order to "upgrade" to be able to have a carry on bag (still no seat assignment). My husband was desperate to get off the phone by that time and paid that extra amount and hung up believing we had Economy tickets finally. We have received nothing that showed why we paid an extra $318 and we still have Basic class tickets. We immediately called Hawaiian Air, who said even the Basic comes with a free carry on and you can always pay for a checked bag so that was just a blatant lie by the TravelPort Rep from the get-go. Hawaiian Air has been no help because we didn't book directly through them, and our credit card company said because we gave them the credit card number they can't help. That just seems wrong. Clearly this was fraud. I also looked up TravelPort on a review site and there were many people with the exact same story as we had (most entitled "Scam" or "Scammers"). We do have paperwork showing it said we were getting Economy tickets from the beginning, and that all we ever received was Basic, but no one has ever asked to see the proof.

We purchased United Air ticked from Tarifasodeal.com for 889. After we finished with the web site purchase, Tarifasodeal immediately call us and stated that we are NOT allowed to have any checked bags or carry-on luggage including a purse. However, they would gladly upgrade our ticket for an additional 1700 dollars. This hard sale to upgrade continued for 20 minutes, they continued to offer different deals for a lot of extra money. The also refused to cancel the tickets. Eventually, since they did not actually process the payment yet, I called the credit card company, but they would not prevent them from charging our credit card. We actually had to Freeze the account so they can't charge the card. Tarifasodeal is a scam company with many oversea people working there. Very strong accents and hard to understand. I recommend nobody uses this company.

I booked flights through Travoport for $2000. The following day they called me and said that those flight had restrictions including not being able to add any bags to the trip. I confirmed with American Airlines (the carrier for the trip) that it was not possible to not being able to add bags with them. I called Travoport again and they told me that I must have upgraded to a $3500 flight instead of the $2000 and that I could not cancel my booking with them. After I was directed to the manager I told him that they were trying to scam me and they hung up on me.
