A Google search for " free plate lookup" resulted in the vin history. Com result. Clicked on the result heading and site looked similar to Carfax site. Entered the plate number and chose state from drop down menu. Vehicle report immediately started " generating" after finished was given option to view report for 1.00.terms and conditions stated 7 day trial, then monthly subscription if not cancelled before end of 7 day. I accepted terms, entered card info and contact info. Bank was immediately charged 1.00. Bank contacted me to get verification of charge. I said yes it was me. 3 days later company charged $29.95 to bank account. I tried to find website again but had no luck. I traced my steps, found the site. Requested cancellation and refund from supposed 24hr live chat and was told to email customer support. Emailed support. Received automated reply saying had to click cancel/unsubscribe in initial email received in order to cancel. I had never received any email so I replied I had never received any email. The company has ghosted me since. I can sign in to an account, but when I click on Cancel subscription I get an in screen reply stating they cannot cancel my subscription and directs me to make an email request to same customer support email I was given before. It is an endless loop and wild goose chase. Eventually an email is received giving a PO box to send certified mail request for cancellation and states that is only valid way to cancel. I have not sent the letter yet, but will update if the company actually cancels. For now I reported fraud and closed card.

Offered vin check for $1 then 29.95 after if you dont cancel. I have tried to cancel several times & there is no way to cancel. Changed my debit card & they still are able to draft from my account. Reported to my bank. Just today they have tried to draft 29.95 3 times.

They lure you in with cheap car history reports, and continue to charge you afterwards. I never got any car report. I've claimed their fraudulent and reported them to the bank. They have a contract with Visa so they got my new card number and kept charging me. Their support email was unreachable and wouldn't stop charging or issue refund. The address listed on their website points to some random house in Virginia.

Total order lists at $1.00; After you process the order - 2 separate charges are made (1) for $30 & (2) for $1 and you are enrolled into a daily $30 subscription and are unable to unsubscribe.

On November 5th, 22, I went online to obtain a vehicle vin history report. The total cost of the report was to be $1.00. Upon receiving my credit card statement closing 11/16, the following charges were applied: 11/7 $1.00, 11/7 $0.95 and 11/7 $23.95. I was under the assumption I had misread the total cost of the report. The credit card balance was paid on 11/30. On Monday December 12th, 22 I logged into my bank account. There were charges applied to my credit card from this company for the following amounts: 11/18 $23.95, 12/1 $23.95, 12/7 $23.95, 12/14 $23.95 and 12/19 $23.95. I called the contact number for the company and received an answering service. The answering service was going to contact the company by email on my behalf. I'd not been contacted as of 12/21. I attempted to call again and got the same answering service. I'm being told it will take up to 7 business days to resolve the issue. This is starting to feel like a scam because I'm unable to reach the company by phone.
