Fake interest in buying RV and request that seller purchase vehicle report from https://theautoclearance.com/

I was attempting to find a VW Karmann Ghia on line and was using a search engine called "Trovit." I located a possible choice with a very good price and made an initial outreach through the method provided by the site. I was contacted not by the owner of the car but by a company called "Omniproautos LLC" who informed me that the car was still for sale and that it was located in one of their warehouses in Philadelphia, Pa. They sent me an invoice detailing the charges, and how to make the payment. The payment was to be sent to an escrow company in NC and it would be held there until the car was delivered and I was satisfied that it was what I wanted, then they would transfer the money to the seller. This all seems reasonable on the surface but when I attempted to contact them via phone they proved difficult to reach and when I did reach them their answers to basic questions about their company and their physical location they were sketchy and finally we were somehow "disconnected." I am trying to re-establish contact with them but have failed so far. The address for their Philadelphia location is as follows 5736 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia, Pa 19120. I have seen a complaint about this company already on your website and it seems as though this person was scammed by this company. I would appreciate any feedback you might have regarding this company and any recommendation you might have, ty, ***.

Found car on Trovit web site then emailed the owner. He emailed me back and said he couldn’t call because of his job.He said he already had everything set up with Triple T Trucking to keep him safe and myself so the sale would go smoothly. I was in touch with the sales manager from Triple T Trucking who handled the sale. I signed documents to buy the car and had money wired to his bank. I was told that when he seen the money was sent they would deliver the car. He told me the money would not get pulled out until I received the car. I never received the car and he got the money. Looked on the site again and seen the address was crossed out. I also seen the car was still for sale.

Sent invoice and wire information for a dodge charger offered o. Website. Stated I would not transfer money unless car could be inspected.

Their answer was “ not going to happen” and cancelled to invoice.

Would never purchase anything without inspection first.

A truck was presented for sale as an ad on Facebook marketplace. Initial contact was made through phonecall provided on the website that linked from the Facebook ad. After discussion on the phone, and photos and videos sent through email, I decided to purchase the truck. The seller "Taylor" offered to ship the truck since it was supposedly in Pennsylvania. A bill of sale was sent via email and signed. Money was wired from my bank and I was told the truck would be delivered within 7 days. Over the weekend, after looking at the photos again, we discovered that there was a Texas flag in the background of truck in the photos, and in photos of other cars on the website. We then contacted the delivery driver "John" and asked for a photo of the truck on the trailer, to which he replied that he would have to check with his sales manager "Taylor," and couldn't provide any photos. At this point we contacted the owner of the warehouse in Houston, Texas where the pictures were stolen from and he said he had sold that truck over 1 year ago. He said he has already had to fight fraud with this same issue in the past. We also contacted the owner of the actual "Gettysburg Classic Cars" in Pennsylvania and he said we are not the first people that have contacted him about this. The ad has been reported to facebook, but we are not able to leave any details or comments about what happened there.

Since I'm not sure where the scammers are actually from, since they have stolen photos from Houston, Texas and a business name from Pennsylvania, I didn't input an actual location for them.

Hi again ,

Right now I'm in a military base (Omaha,Nebraska). We are training, getting ready for leaving the country. The delivery process will be managed by me. I think I can have it there at your home address within 3 working days. It will come with a clear title and reg. I am a member of the Marketplace buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 5 days testing period after delivery. During that 5 days testing period I will not be getting any money. I need to know if you are interested so I can ask Marketplace to send you the details on this deal. If interested just email with your legal name (your right full name 'cause it will appear on the papers), full postal address where you want the truck delivered and your cell phone # where you can be reached so we can get the ball rolling.

I paid $2500 at first then was asked for another $1000 for for transportation insurance.

It was Supposed to be delivered Sunday August 26 at 4:30.

Now not responding emails and the phone number where I been calling just sounds busy!!

Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else it sucks..??
