Type of a scam Online Purchase
After filling out the address change form the next page asks for your credit card information without the page clearly disclosing the fees you'll be paying. The overall fee is hidden in fine text that is designed to look like ignorable and unimportant. The banner at the top of the page says "FAST, EASY AND SECURE ADDRESS CHANGE WITH THE USPS", further implying they are an actual part of the USPS.
Upon finishing the transaction it still does not tell you that you have been charged any amount, from the website or send a receipt of the charges. The USPS sends a receipt for an address change after it processes the brokered transaction. Reasonable consumers assume that is the full charge as there are no obvious indications to think otherwise.
If you contact their customer support for a full refund they do not provide it. They claim some amount is part of a non-refundable fee for an online purchase. (This cannot be disproven by the consumer as no receipts or breakdowns of the purchase are provided upon completion of the transaction).
The entire website is set up to take advantage of people looking to quickly change their address and expect a small fee for it. The entire design is streamlined in a way to avoid anyone looking too closely and realizing they are being charged 40x the expected amount for an address change.
