Online exam helpers acts as a service to help students take online exams. The website scam gains access to a computer’s IP address, webcam, and microphone through a remote access site. After gaining access into your computer, online exam helpers changes settings that gives them remote access to your personal computer. After scheduling a date and time to help students take an exam, they require only Venmo or Cashapp payment under the name @BeaconAcademics. Once a payment has been received, online exam helpers requests additional money based on the device being used (a MacBook computer or a Windows computer). Once money has been received, no services are provided to students at the time of the exam.
