The website is https://www.5stars.market/. I was filling out applications online for part time work from home jobs for a supplemental income. The main site I used to find these job postings was LinkedIn. I applied to this position because it seemed easy enough. So, I applied. I was contacted by a man named Victor Sapenko and he gave me a rundown of the position covering what my duties will be as well as pay. The post asked for 2-3 hours a day doing Amazon data research. Basically, they want you to find cheaper items at various stores than what they are posted for on Amazon. The initial email claims that the company trades through Amazon’s FBA system by wholesale purchasing and reselling items. I accepted the position and opened a new bank account so that I did not use my main bank account for direct deposits. Victor informed me that the company only does direct deposit through Chase bank otherwise I would have to open an account with Chase or I could create an account with Zelle Pay and they could pay me through there after my 3-week probation period. I opened an account with Zelle Pay and provided him with my username. I received a welcome to the team email and things seemed to be going fine. Victor was prompt with replying to emails the first two weeks. Once the third week came (pay week) I did not hear anything from him. I called and sent emails to him and the other emails that are listed on the website and did not get a response from anyone nor have I received my $2600.00 worth of work. We both signed a contract as well. I do not know what they plan to do with my information because I did not give them my social or anything. The only thing they have is my username to my Zelle Pay account, my email address, and my phone number. I told Victor I was not comfortable giving my social security number to a small business (no offense). He understood and I agreed to be a 1099 employee and pay my own taxes at the end of the year.
