My husband and I were facing some financial hardships and needed help in filing for a loan modification and help to stop foreclosure on our home. Devin reached out to us so willing to help and referred us to OpenSkyLegal for help. He stated that we needed to move fast and wanted a lot of personal info over the phone to get our paperwork started. When then called OpenSky to see if the services were legit and were told to proceed with who was helping us because they can help with a payment plan for their services and if we wanted to use them directly we would have to pay the entire fee upfront before anything was done. We felt confident that everything was cool so we called Devin back and gave him the info and as promised we received the letters he promised that would start the process so we were satisfied. After about a week we received a call from him stating that he didn’t realize our home was going to be foreclosured within the next few weeks and he would need another payment this week then AGAIN next week to get the process moving faster. At this point we became very suspicious of the intent here. We immediately contacted a local foreclosure lawyer(this should’ve been our 1st move, but you live and learn) and no one in that office knew who OpenSkyLegal was and advised us to stop payments immediately and to try to get our 1st payment back. We are normally very suspicious of stuff like this but after being desperate I guess and calling OpenSky personally we thought we were making the right move but we very wrong! Please stay away from this company and consult a local attorney for advice!
