Optimum Doc prep is in the habit of buying lists of graduates and student names and contact information who has student loans. They will contact the individual who owns the student loan by using the alias Student Loan Forgiveness Program. They will offer to help the student get rid of their student loan, refinance, apply for forgiveness, loan and rehab without making it clear that the fees you are paying is only for them to do a paper work on the loan owner behalf. These are things that the student can do by just filling out the form themselves. Optimum Doc Prep will put the person with the student loan enrolled into a payment plan. Then they inform you that when contacted from the actual student loan people, not to ever answer. Thats what became suspicious. With me, they put me at two payments of $***. They never disclosed that the money paid was just fees for their services of doing the paper work, not for actually forgiving the loan, loan rehab, or refinancing the loan. The fees/ payments are not really made clear to the customer. This is how their scam works. They have very personal information about you. They have the victim believing that once you pay the $** installments, or the lump sum payment plan, then you are free of your student loan.
