I applied for this job on indeed has an office worker for a healthcare company. Few days later I got a response saying my application was reviewed and to email the employer email address listed so get any additional information. I got a response saying she was a Doctor who runs a health care company and she was in Canada for business. I accepted and she sent me a check for my first weeks payment plus other money to pay for other errands and such. The check was deposited on August 17th and still has not been cleared. I asked about where her office was based out of and she completely ignored me.

I told her on the 20th that the check has still not been cleared yet and she just quit responding. I’m not sure what her original intent was to do but I got scared and figured something needed to be done. I’m going to attach an image of a screenshot of one of her emails to me. I don’t know her real location but I included the address of where the check was sent from. I feel dumb because there was obvious signs that this was fake.
