Door to door contact. Lovely woman working to improve her lot in life by offering magazines that will be sent to local homeless shelter of my choice. She was rewarded for sale with "Points" not cash commission, etc. Within 30 minutes I fell for her and gave her check for $108.00. (Shame on me for being kind) Received bank statement and saw that check was very obviously altered from $108. to 180 dollars and cashed. Have notified bank.

I do not know whether the bank or I will absorb this loss.
