I am in NJ. I use Optimum for my wifi. my wifi was down yesterday and I thought I missed a payment. I looked up Optimum billing on google and the following number 888-304-0782 appeared. I dialed. They answer as optimum billing third party collection. They said the Optimum main system was down so they could not process payment without my full debit card number and info which i naively gave. They asked if I wanted to pay $200 and they would eliminate (a special discount) the remaining balance of $80.00. I said no. By the time, i realized this was a scam my wifi was back on meaning there was a technical issue in the service area, not a disconnection due to nonpayment. I contacted Optimum and they confirmed this was a scam. I spent 1 hour w the actual optimum and another 45 minutes with my bank canceling all my banking info. the charge comes from TA Solutions. The website is phony and the main number out of Wisconsin goes into voicemail. Their 888 number still takes calls as of today answering as Optimum Billing. They should be found and punished by law. How many innocent people have been scammed, especially the elderly?. I have been calling them nonstop and it is a network of people from India. 888-304-0782
