This company is an absolute scam. They were not called to the scene of the accident my husband was in and instead drove over a median to get to it and exploit him in a vulnerable position. They never asked for permission to tow the vehicle and my husband was under the impression that the other driver involved had called (this was told to the other driver as well). When they reached the collision centre the tow driver refused to take the vehicle to an authorized repair shop as they were closed and he wanted to be paid in full up front, this was no issue and he was willing to pay until he told him the cost. He said it would be 1200.00 for the tow which was less than a 10 minute drive and refused to unhook the vehicle when my fiancé demanded an invoice. An officer was involved at one point and they agreed to the cost of 350.00 to unhook the car (Max insurance would pay out). The tow driver agreed then went back on his word and called his “boss” to the collision centre.. a 400 lb man who had no intention of allowing his employee to release the vehicle until at least 1000 dollars was paid. This man swore and screamed at my husband until he threatened to get the police involved for a second time. Arriving to the scene of an accident without being called is illegal as is holding the vehicle hostage and gouging the price of tow services. This man was from Toronto where they have put in place a max tow fee of 250.00 because there was so much of this crime/scam going on. It has made its way to Kitchener-Waterloo since they can’t scam people in the GTA.

Absolutely disgusted and this “business” should be fined.
