On 2/5/24 I responded to a Craigslist ad (https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/dmg/d/la-habra-professional-cleaner-cash-pa...⇄ ([email protected]) a professional cleaner in the city of La Habra, CA. I was told I had to provide my own cleaning supplies and transportation and that regular local jobs would be provided. I sent a picture of my Driver's License through a text. The rate of pay was disclosed verbally by a phone call as $20 per hour. The next day 2/6/24, they sent the customer address and I arrived and started the cleaning at 11am and completed the cleaning around 2:45pm. After completion I notified them with pictures of the inside of customer's (with verbal in-person) permission of customer). I called and received a call back around 3pm. That was the last conversation I had and have not received payment for services or any communication regarding the situation. I sent a request through Zelle for payment using the number given: (801) 618-7537 which shows "Tru Moving Solutions" as the identifying contact for that number through Zelle. No response. No payment yet.

I responded to a CL ad for a rental. The price was slightly below market, and they responded with the email below. This is the second CL rental ad scam I’ve run across this week.

I am responding to your inquiry. The apartment is available for lease with complete utilities, the viewing date is February 16th. The move-in date is flexible after the viewing date. Dates from February 16th to March 16th work fine for the move-in date.

This person stole 1000 dollars by promising us a dog(maltipo puppy) witch we didn’t get. The person (Thomas T) promised the dog at 10:30pm but never came.

He is not picking up the phone and not answering texts.
