I applied for a job with "Johnson Elite Orthodontics" online. I originally saw the listing on LinkedIn but it took me to a website called Talentify. I applied through that wesbite and then was contacted on 2/12 by "Matt Hopkins" saying they wanted to proceed with an interview and asked me to forward my resume to [email protected]. I forwarded my resume and then they wanted to set up an interview. They let me know that my interview would be through zoom via chat. I thought that was odd, but they said its to access my typing skills. I went ahead with the interview and there were a few things that I found odd. They asked me my name, age, sex and location. I did give them that information although now I wish I wouldn't of. There were some misspellings on their end and they didn't want to answer questions at the end of the instant message interview. I left the interview feeling uneasy about it all, thinking this may be a scam. I received an offer letter today 2/23 via email from "Noah Beaufort" that asked for my ID and my social. I knew that something wasn't right so I looked up the office on google and called them and they confirmed that their is a scam going on with someone impersonating their business. I did not respond to the email, I took screen shots of everything and blocked all emails that I communicated with. I filed a complaint with the FTC and now the BBB.
