After placing an add for a piece of antique furniture, I was immediately offered full amount via Zelle. I have a Zelle account but when she put in the $150, I got the email saying I she had to pay another $300 because it was a business account. Per the scammer, I was to give her back the $300 and keep the $150. I was suspicious right away and called my bank. No way did she put in any money into Zelle AND the email that was sent confirming she sent the money was not from my bank. It was from a fake Zelle email. I ended the transaction telling her I knew she was trying to scam me and that if she really still wanted to item, I would only accept cash. She has not contacted me again but now has my phone number AND email account number. She didn’t get any money thought so I hope I am safe.
