I get about 2 calls a day from different phone numbers. They all start the same. It's an Indian accent male asking about my neck or back pain telling me that I qualify for a brace at no cost to me. Today I decided to play along to get more info from them. They ask my height, weight and want to verify information. I told them to tell me what info they had and I would tell them if it was correct. The told me my name was Chad Hulin, and I live at 205 Rosalynn, zip 70559. I told them that was correct, but it is not. They asked me if I was will with Medicare part A or B and when I said yes they asked me to tell them the ID # on it card. I told them if they could tell me what # they have I would tell them if they were correct. They did not have the # and we went a few rounds of me asking for their phone # for me to have Medicare call them directly to confirm my information. They were adamant that Medicare would not call them and they could only process my braces, at no cost to me, if I gave them my medicare #. The caller then put on his superior. Still pushing for me to give them the ID #. I called his bluff and asked him to please remove my phone from their system. I was tired of getting the calls daily. He said he could remove from their system but that there are many others that will still call.
