He was not addressing my questions, and wanted to move on to the payment method questions. Impatient with his poor service, I politely said never mind and hung up.
When I went on the actual site to book online instead, I realized that the number was different than the one I dialed.
And when I tried calling back the misdialed number it listed travel sales bookings, and a generic message saying that my call was important and to hold for an associate. I'm pretty sure it's a scam, now that I realize *** *** *** ******* *** *** that he was so intent on gathing my info and payment method, without addressing my questions.

The owner then proceeded to text me at 10:00PM demanding that I pay him $1000 either in cash or via E-Transfer. He stated that he will not fix the vehicle unless the balance is paid in full. I asked him to provide an invoice/quote explaining the breakdown of the job and he refused to provide an estimate. I sent him the website from the Government of Ontario indicating that by law he needs to provide a written quote to me first with a full breakdown of what repairs need to be done as well as the individual cost for labor and parts. He still refused to provide me with a breakdown.
The business feels fraudulent because he will not provide proof of the work being completed and he also accepted a taillight from me which he is now denying taking. I have attached a PDF copy showing screenshots of the text messages exchanged between me and the business owner.
