I was hired as a hub associate for a fake company called Ovebone, Inc. They required me to receive packages at my home address, inspect and take pictures of them, report any damages, attach pre-paid provided shipping labels and packing slips, then ship them off from UPS, USPS, or FedEx. They never paid me a paycheck at the end of my probation period and I found out that they were scam by doing some research. I was contacted by the police three times about packages being addressed to my house that were purchased with stolen credit cards. I'm pretty sure they used fake names and were having me believe that I was sending packages to their clients for faster shipping and lower prices. I think that they were actually sending the packages to other people so they could resell the items because that is what I read in an article about shipping scams. They asked me for my credit card number and balance to pay me my wages. I told them that they don't need to get a credit card number to pay wages and I quit at the same time. They already have my social security number and other personal information that I dont know what they are going to do with. These people target innocent people and do criminal acts to not only get their targets' personal information, but also to make it look like they are at fault. It is ridiculous and unfortunate that they go to such lengths to mess up peoples' lives as well as put them in financial and possible legal distress. They need to be caught and taken down for this.
