A FaceBook ad for a company going by OwnerEsque initially had website as a fake storefront for Yik&Yak. They advertised 90% off sale and free shipping on orders above $40. After purchase, they sent a “tracking” website called Track718. The site is a front merely posing as a tracker to help affiliated scam websites steal funds. When customers report missing orders, Track718.com claims no liability – pointing to its bogus tracking showing successful delivery. This elaborate hustle allows partner ecommerce scam sites to keep ill-gotten payments while avoiding responsibility by leveraging the fake tracker. Scammers accused me of inputting incorrect address and screwed me on the shipping insurance as well. After going back and forth with the ownereque “customer service team” they offered to re ship the clothing however the all the original clothing on the site was replaced with pricier coats. The customer service team offered a 50% refund after I refused the reshipment. After multiple messages back and requesting to email with a supervisor they claim to have sent a full refund (on 6/23) which will take up to 25 working days. This has been an ongoing struggle since originally ordering off the site on 05/05/2024. I imagine there have been plenty of other victims who gave up with trying to get their money back. I have included below one of their responses to me. “ We are very sorry that you did not receive the package successfully, but please allow us to explain to you the possible reasons why the package was not successfully delivered.

We ship your order to the address you provided. If your order cannot be delivered, it may be because the address you provided is different from your actual address, or the address you entered is not detailed enough.

The logistics consulting website I sent you is a world-renowned website. You can see from the logistics information provided on this website that your order has been successfully delivered. Now that you informed me that you have not received the package, we can only try to apply for a claim with the courier first, but they cannot compensate for all losses of the order if the package is delivered.

Therefore, we would like to know if you are willing to accept a 50% refund? I know this is difficult for you, but we have also suffered a great loss, after all, these products themselves were sold at a relatively low price. We would be grateful if you could understand our difficulty.

Please allow me to apologize again for the current situation.”
