We feel as though we've been scammed. We signed and executed a "contract" with Oxbo in October 2016 and provided funds made payable to Oxbo as a mobilization deposit to Erik Osborn. Oxbo subcontracted an architect who produced drawings and plans for our City Review board and a permit was started by Oxbo. Oxbo did not pay the architect until we were contacted by the architect for payment nor has the permit been paid/picked up. The permit has expired as of 6/30/17. Erik's Centennial, CO GC license expired 3/27/17. In Jan/Feb. he had stopped responding to phone calls and he had surgery which resulted in a serious life-threatening infection requiring repeated followup surgeries, hospitalization, and treatments which are still ongoing as of Aug 2017. Since the beginning, Erik has missed the vast majority of deadlines/broken commitments/promises. Some of that is understandable since he was injured. Nonetheless, He has not been reliable. In Feb. Erik brought on a friend, Mike Bryce, to cover for Erik while he was recuperating. Nothing really happened there either. After we pushed on Erik, the architect was paid partially and is still waiting for final payment. The job has gone nowhere.. a pilot hole was dug for soil tests - which were performed and results supplied to us. The engineer has not been paid for the services. Otherwise.. no work has been performed at the job site in the 9 months since we signed the contract. We have engineer-stamped plans for foundation, structure etc.. In April, we canceled the contract and asked for the unused portion of our deposit back. Erik seemed understanding. We all agreed that he needs to focus on his health. Oxbo is making payments as of 2017/06/24.

Update: It turns out that Oxbo's mailing address is fronted by a UPS store which provides services to businesses who do not want or need office space. The reason it's difficult to find the address is because there isn't a separate physical street address/building for it and the "E" designation in "East Lincoln Ave." is apparently unconventionally omitted in Parker, CO. Our mistake for not recognizing this deviation from the norm earlier.

Avoid Oxbo, Erik Osborn and sites that rate them highly.

Update: 2017/06/24: We may finally be on a path to getting some of the money returned. We have received a payment with more payments promised every 3 weeks or so.

Update: 2017/07/17: We've received another payment per agreement.

Update: 2017/08/20: We received another payment

Update: 2017/09/17: Mr. Osborn is late by one week. In addition, it appears that the

engineering and soil tests are incorrect. The soil report says that the existing garage

foundation has a spread-footer. Re-excavating the test pit has revealed NO spread-footer... only a stem wall 5+ ft. deep. It appears we will need to "turn some more screws" at this point. Mr. Osborn/"Oxbo" should repay closer to our entire "mobilization deposit" at this point.

Update: 2017/09/27: Erik has informed us (and Mike Bryce has confirmed) that Erik "will be out of pocket indefinitely" and that Mike Bryce will be contacting us "later this week". 10/02: That was last week. Mike has not contacted us as promised. We have sent a demand to Mike by end of this week. After that fails, we will be seeking a judgement to get our money back.

Update: 2018/09/07: Just did a quick google and found that Erik Osborn now claims to work only as a supervisor for a company called "OZZCO construction" in downtown Denver. Heads-up everyone. See https://tinyurl.com/y8az9xr3
