After posting my resume on a few job search sites I received an email from Pacific Lines offering a job as a package handler. The jobs function was to receive and inspect packages that customers order, upload pictures of the product then package it back up and ship it out once a new shipping label was created by someone with Pacific Lines. One month later on the day I was supposed to be paid I could no longer log into their dashboard. I called the supervisors and emailed HR and accounting and have yet to hear back from anyone. I looked into the company deeper and discovered that others have been scammed by this same method. It appeared to be legit as they have you fill out a W4, sign a contract, watch training videos and speak with your supervisor daily.

I have received an email about a job being a package handler. I would receive packages that customers would order, open the package and take pictures of it then pack it back up, and wait for a new shipping label to print it out. They promised I would receive up $4,800 with my first paycheck. They sent me links to their website, and a video showing what the company was about and how they worked. They even did a background check etc., which made them seem legit. However, I found out on Reddit that several people fell for the same thing, and some didn’t get paid for working for them.
