This is an extremely hard sale phone solicitation. They explain that the factory warranty on your (make/model/year) vehicle has expired, and are offering to extend the coverage. They claim they do all the warranties for GM. They give you a lengthy list of what the warranty covers and that the repair work can be done anywhere. They KNOW YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS! They ask if you got the notice in the mail. They transfer you to managers. They cannot give you more than a couple of minutes to decide to purchase, because the warranty is already expired. They run the entire call as if you will decide to give them financial information. And they claim the phone call is recorded.

I know this is a scam. The second time they called on the same afternoon, I played along..... that's why I have this much information. They described a vehicle make/model/year that I have never owned. They gave me a fake VIN, I know because I later ran the VIN. I have owned many different vehicles, some new, but have NEVER purchased a warranty.... ever. I can't really tell you anything about the policy... as it was all verbal.... you have to put up $150 down payment on a $2700 policy before getting any written information.

And... when I said I would have to discuss this with my husband first... she became extremely pushy and wanted to know why. When I told her it was because she was lying to me and trying to scam me... she became aggressive. And of course the call ended when she hung up.
