I was initially contacted by someone named Christophe Guyot who claimed to work for a film production company called Umoon Productions in Taiwan. I initially received a text saying he found my profile on www.Mandy.com and wanted to hire me as an assistant camera operator on an upcoming local film production and asked me to email him my resume at [email protected]. He asked for my address and social security number along with other personal information as well. I gave him my address but not my ss number for obvious reasons and I got a check in the mail a few days later for $*** without any instructions on what I was being hired for and no contract or anything. The check was labeled as First Jersey Realty in Mount Holly New Jersey and connected to Beneficiary Bank. The letter itself was addressed with the name Rich Howard at Palmfield Productions in Kingsburg California. All this conflicting information as well as the sketchiness of the emails and text message led me to believe it was a scam and sure enough this has been reported before. As a side note, I tried calling the number that texted me multiple times and was just disconnected each time.

I responded to a modeling casting call and the scammer contacted me via email. Saying that I have been selected for one of their upcoming shoots. They sent a bunch of emails, pretty official looking, back and forth. Asking for modeling information and confirming dates and so, on. Lastly, they sent me a cashier's check and they want me to deposit it and send them back money, I'm assuming. I haven't done anything with the check and don't plan to as I'm sure it's fraudulent.

The scammer goes by William Bucko, with "Palmfield productions". However, the mailing address from the USPS packaged check is: Rich Howard.

I would love to follow up with whomever is filing this report so I can forward you the emails and texts. The best way to contact me is via text.
